H. Penutup: Melampaui Narasi Tunggal Kolonial
Kajian sejarah Raja dan Kesultanan Jambi dari berbagai perspektif peradaban dunia merupakan upaya untuk membebaskan historiografi dari dominasi narasi tunggal kolonial. Catatan China mengajarkan diplomasi, India memberikan kerangka kosmologi kekuasaan, Arab menghadirkan dimensi spiritual, sementara Eropa merekam dinamika politik dan ekonomi.
Transformasi dari raja menjadi sultan mencerminkan kemampuan adaptasi peradaban Melayu Jambi terhadap arus sejarah global, menjadikan Jambi sebagai salah satu pusat peradaban Islam yang penting di Asia Tenggara (Ricklefs, 2001; Milner, 1982).
